Dietmar Gerhard Bartsch ( born March 31, 1958 in Stralsund ) is a German politician (The Left ).

Political career

Bartsch in 1977 became a member of the SED. In 1989 he was one of the founders of the Association Young comrades ( AGJG ) at the Extraordinary Congress of the SED - PDS. From 1991 to 1997 Bartsch was Federal Treasurer of the PDS and was subsequently elected as the National Secretary.
