Dietmar Feichtinger

Dietmar Feichtinger ( born November 18, 1961 in Bruck an der Mur ) is a Paris -working, Austrian architect.

Biography

Feichtinger studied 1981-1988 at the Technical University of Graz Architecture and graduated with honors. At the same time he collected in the architectural office of Prof. Eilfried Huth, Prof. Volker Giencke and Prof. Klaus Kada first professional experience. In 1989 he moved to Paris. In 1994 he founded Feichtinger Architectes, with its headquarters in Paris, 2002, the branch Feichtinger Architectes Vienna was added.

In 1994 Feichtinger adopted a first teaching position at a university. He now teaches at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d' Architecture de Paris La Villette ( ENSAPLV ) and worked in the past at the University of Innsbruck and the University of Vienna. At the University of Innsbruck (1995) and the RWTH Aachen (2000), he was appointed as a visiting professor.

Most important work

Feichtinger became known as the winners of the competitions listed in the 1998 competition for the construction of the Paris footbridge Passerelle Simone de Beauvoir (2006 ) and the 2002 ausgelobten competition for the bridge between Mont Saint -Michel and the mainland. The latter project is the restoration of the maritime character of the bay, which is the fortified church in front. It received international recognition.

  • Museum Bridge in Magdeburg harbor to Kaispeicher B in Hamburg's HafenCity, completed in 2007
  • Bilger Breustedt school center, Taufkirchen an der Pram (completed in 2009)
  • Finance and sales headquarters of voestalpine GmbH, Linz (completed in 2009)
  • Hospital Klagenfurt, Klagenfurt (completed in 2010)
