Dietmar Hirsch

Dietmar Hirsch ( born December 8, 1971 in Viersen ) is a former German football player and current coach. He is currently head coach of SV Elversberg in the 3rd league.

Career as a player

Hirsch began his career in the youth department of the ASV Süchteln. About 1.FC Viersen he came to the 1993/94 season at Borussia Moenchengladbach. There he was indeed to the squad, the 1995 German Cup winner was, but came in two years only 21 appearances in the Bundesliga, so he moved to MSV Duisburg in the Second Division in 1995. There he became a regular player and rose with the MSV on in the first year. In 1998, he was with the Duisburgern in the DFB Cup final against Bayern Munich, which they lost 1:2.

In 2000, Hirsch went to SpVgg Unterhaching, a year later to Hansa Rostock, where he played two more years in the Bundesliga. In 2003 he returned to Duisburg, but stood in the promotion season of 2004 /05 only twice on the court. For the season 2005/ 06 he moved free transfer to the regional to VfB Lübeck, in which he scored equal to the service providers. Overall, Dietmar Hirsch comes to 195 appearances in the Premier League (11 goals), 57 games in the second division (5 goals) and 98 games in the third-tier Regionalliga until 2008 (6 goals).

Career as a coach

In March 2008, he signed with VfB Lübeck offers a three-year contract as sports director. This agreement was terminated by the liquidator of VfB in September 2009 for operational reasons the deadline of 31 December 2009. This was due to cost-cutting measures during the insolvency proceedings of the association.

After his release in Lübeck Hirsch embarked on a coaching career. From January 2010 to June 2011 trained deer SV Schacksdorf with which he rose from the fifth division in the Schleswig- Holstein-Liga. On 1 July 2011, he took over the head coach position at FC Sylt (Schleswig- Holstein-Liga ), which he lost but according to Executive after the 5th Round due to " great professionalism " again. So he returned in January 2012 back to Schacksdorf. He took over the club at the bottom of the table and could not avoid relegation in the fifth division of Schleswig -Holstein.

After acquiring the football teacher's license Hirsch took over on September 2, 2013, the Drittligaelf the SV Elversberg.

Others

Hirsch learned the profession of a public administration clerks. He has completed a correspondence course in Sports Management and Sports Business Administrator. He is married and has two children.
