The DigiPen Institute of Technology is a college in Redmond, Washington (USA), the computer game developer formed. DigiPen is located on the same campus as Nintendo of America.

History

The forerunner of today's college was founded by developers for 3D computer animation form the early 1990's in Vancouver ( Canada). These individual courses for DigiPen Corporation were carried out. In cooperation with Nintendo was developed in 1994 a two -year program for the game programmers that graduating with a diploma. In 1998, the campus is moved to Redmond and received from the Washington State Higher Education Coordinating Board approval, associate and bachelor's degrees offer. The first master's degree program was introduced in 2004.

In 2008 a branch in Singapore and 2010 in Bilbao was founded.

DigiPen offers courses from the upper areas of computer science with specializations for game development important areas such as computer graphics or computer simulations to:
