Digital Interface for Video and Audio

The Digital Interactive Interface for Video and Audio ( DiiVA ) is a connection standard for the transmission of digital audio and picture data in a home user environment. The development is driven by a consortium of Asian electronics manufacturers, including Haier, LG, Samsung, Sony and TCL.

The standard provides for the integration of different communication standards. Thus, the prototypes were supplied by Splitter with LAN, USB, and digital video signals. In particular, the explicit approach of the bi-directional data exchange is a novel in comparison with DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI approach. DiiVA was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2009.
