Dignity Party (Egypt)

The Party of dignity (Arabic حزب الكرامة, DMG Hizb al - Karama ) was a leftist Nasserist political party in Egypt, which was founded in 1996 as a breakaway from the Arab Nasserist Democratic Party ( ADNP ) and the youth movement of the 6 was involved in April. . In 2012 she rejoined the ADNP the new Nasserist Party.

The last chairman of the party was Hamdin Sabahi. The Party of dignity was a member of the Democratic Alliance for Egypt, which is led by the Muslim Brotherhood and its Freedom and Justice Party.

For the first election since its founding, the party went to 2011. While the Democratic Alliance a total of 235 of 498 seats ( 47.2% ) received in the parliamentary elections of 2012, the party won only 6 seats for the dignity of the National Assembly.
