Dil Kya Kare

Dil Kya Kare (translated: What would make this heart? ) Is an Indian film released in 1999.

Action

A happy family lives together: the architect and father Anand Kishore lives with his wife Kavita and daughter Neha in a big house. Neha was adopted by the couple, as Kavita, when she was pregnant, had an accident and now can not bear children. In addition, the family friend and poet Somu always go in with them on and off.

One day a concern comes up in Kavita. The 5 -year-old Neha gets gifts from an unknown woman who is waiting for them always before the end of lessons. Kavita finds out her name; the woman's name is Nandita Rai. On the playground behind the house Kavita Neha sees play with this strange woman. When she confronts, she learns of Nandita, that she is the biological mother of Neha. After another small discussion Kavita Nandita invites her to his home. She stays overnight at Neha and had planned the next day to travel to Benares.

The next day, Anand comes back from a business trip. After he sees Nandita, old memories come up in him. He is Nandita met once six years ago: It was night in the train. He suddenly heard screams and wanted to check. As a helpless woman was harassed by some men. He immediately stood her in to help and they got nearer. Since then, she had never seen again.

Even Nandita is shocked at the sight of Anand and confused at the same time. She confesses to him in private that he is the real father of Neha. In addition, she talks about her past and what has happened to her all this time: After the one-night stand she disappeared from Anand's life. Her father wanted to marry the daughter formed. Comes over yet at the wedding preparations Nandita a nausea. The aunt draws suspicion and, together with her ​​father, they seek a doctor, where her father urges to have an abortion, but for this it's already too late. Anand is very touched by this story and tried to comfort Nandita and takes her in his arms. Kavita believe their eyes when they both look like. Anand tries to calm her. He also confesses his infidelity, which she leaves him on the spot.

Kavita Anand asks for forgiveness, which finds shelter with Somu. There he discovered on the table the divorce papers. From their project, they can however not be dissuaded and so they are in court. At Anand's lucky the transaction is postponed again and he tries to regain Kavita. At this moment, Nandita emerges. She asks Kavita Anand to forgive, because he really loves her and never wants to lose. And so the family is reunited and Nandita says goodbye to the Kishores and travels by train to Benares, with their precious memories of Neha.
