Dilolo Lake

The Dilolo Lake is a lake in Angola just before the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo, in the province of Moxico.

The Dilolo lies at about 1,445 meters above sea level on a watershed between the Congo and the Zambezi area. He was discovered by Livingstone in February 1854. According to Livingstone, the lake is eight to thirteen miles long and four to five kilometers wide. The Dilolo is rich in fish and is home to hippos and temporarily flooded the area in the Zambezi system.
