Dimefox is a chemical compound selected from the group of organic fluorine compounds and phosphoric acid amides.
Production and representation
Dimefox can be obtained by phosphoryl fluorination of bis ( dimethylamido ).
Properties
Dimefox is a colorless liquid with a fishy odor that is miscible with water. It acts as an inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase.
Use
As the related compounds Schradan, Mazidox and Mipafox is used as an insecticide in 1940, the gaming Dimefox. However, it is classified by the World Health Organization as obsolete and is rarely used more worldwide. In the European Union Dimefox has not been included in Annex I to Directive 91/414/EEC, 2076/2002 of 20 November 2002, by Regulation ( EC) No order is the active ingredient in the countries of the EU is no longer as plant protection products admitted.
