Dimitrios Grammozis

Dimitrios Grammozis (Greek Δημήτρης Γραμμόζης, born July 8, 1978 in Wuppertal) is a Greek football player who also has a German passport.

Career

He was born in Wuppertal grew up in Velbert, where he still has his residence. The versatile defensive and defensive midfielder began his career in 1984 in the district of Velbert Neviges, at the local TuS Neviges. After four years he moved in 1988 within the city of Velbert SSVg for which he graduated three years. In his last station in Velbert, he played exactly two years for Borussia Velbert, before he went to his native town in 1992, the largest club there Wuppertal SV.

After a year in the youth teams of the Wuppertal SV he moved in 1994 to KFC Uerdingen 05, where he played two more years in the A- youth. When just 18 years old when he played in 1996 in the 2nd Bundesliga in the basic formation of the KFC and after another season he was transferred for € 350,000 to the Bundesliga for Hamburger SV (1998).

Within the two years with a final Champions League qualification, he could not only good players not permanently establish itself as a regular player and joined the 2000/01 season 1 FC Kaiserslautern.

His five years there were marked by injury problems and difficulties with each changing coaches, especially in his last two seasons.

He then moved up to the beginning of the 2005/06 season to newly promoted Bundesliga 1 FC Cologne. His contract was originally there until the end of season 2006/07. After only one year, however, the association of Grammozis separated prematurely.

He joined on 20 July 2006 free transfer to the second division promoted Rot-Weiss Essen, where he signed a contract until 30 June 2008.

In June 2006, he was with his fiance in Greece tied the knot.

In June 2007, he joined the Greek first division club Enosis Ergotelis Diethnis. He signed a one-year contract with an option for another year. When he November 2008 fell out with his coach, he moved in December the same year the Cypriot first division club Omonia Nicosia. In 2010 he was of Cypriot champion Omonia with and won the Supercup against Apollon Limassol.

After two years he moved in January 2011 to the Greek first division and advanced AO Kerkyra. He moved in summer 2012 to VfL Bochum II and to lead the young team. He signed there for two years.
