Dimitrios Maximos

Dimitrios Maximos (Greek: Δημήτριος Μάξιμος ) (* 1873 in Patras, † October 16, 1955 ) was a Greek politician and former Prime Minister.

The grandson of the mayor, minister and parliament speaker Andreas Lontos holds a degree in economics.

1921 to 1922 he was governor of the National Bank. In 1933 he was elected Senator. Between March 1933 and March 1935 and July and October 1935, he was Foreign Minister in the cabinet of Panagis Tsaldaris.

From 24 January to 29 August 1947, he was Prime Minister of the transitional government.
