Dimitrios Papadopoulos

Dimitrios Papadopoulos and Dimitris Papadopoulos (Greek Δημήτρης Παπαδόπουλος, born September 20, 1981 in Gagarin, Uzbekistan) is a Greek football player.

After Papadopulos lived in Uzbekistan until the age of eleven, he returned in 1992 in the homeland of his parents back. His first stop was the then third division Akratitos Ano Liosia, in which he came as a 17 -year-old to his first competitive game use for the first team.

With 19 Papadopoulos changed for the Association's internal record fee of 700,000 € for Burnley FC in England. After his brief stint in the British Isles in the summer of 2003 he returned back to Athens and signed with Panathinaikos Athens a professional contract. In the first year of the striker won a regular place and led his team thanks to his 17 goals for the Greek Championship and Cup success in 2004. During the summer of the same year he won the Greek national team's Euro 2004 and was followed in the Olympic team for the Olympic Games appointed in Athens.
