Dimitrios Pappas (2008)

Dimitrios Pappas (Greek Δημήτριος Παππάς; born February 25, 1980 in Ioannina) is a Greek football player.

Career

Dimitrios Pappas grew up in Germany and played by the youth in various unterklassigen clubs before in his years at Rot-Weiss Essen for the first time came in the third highest league in 2005 for use. However, the Substitutes just before the end in a game against Holstein Kiel remained his only appearance for the first team of the Essenes. The following year, he moved to the Oberliga Nordrhein to Rot- Weiß Oberhausen. There was the Greek from the beginning a regular in central defense. With the Upper House leaders he succeeded not only in 2007 the return to the Regionalliga, but even the walkover in the 2nd Bundesliga. Since 2008, Pappas playing as a professional footballer in the squad of the Red and Whites, where he still has a contract until 2012. After descending 2011 in the 3rd League Pappas was appointed as the new captain of the shamrocks. On July 3, 2012 Pappas signed a contract with the SSVg Velbert.
