Dimitris Liantinis

Dimitrios Liantinis (* 1942 in lakonia; † 1 June 1998 ( ) in Taygetos? ) Was a Greek philosopher, a professor of philosophy of education and teaching of ancient Greek and modern Greek language at the University of Athens and author of philosophical books.

Life

In his teaching and written work is concerned Dimitrios Liantinis with the philosophy of poetry, philosophical anthropology and philosophy of education. Even poet and connoisseur of the Greek language in its long history, he wrote in modern Greek language that is immediately recognizable style. He has Greek Philology at the University of Athens study ( diploma 1966) and the German language at the University of Munich ( 1970-72 ). He has PhD in Philosophy at the University of Athens (1977 ) with the theme of the influence of the Greek mind in the Duino Elegies by Rainer Maria Rilke. His books have become bestsellers in Greece. The problem of death is particularly marked in his writings and poems, already in his dissertation on Rilke, in conjunction with the Eros.

Dimitrios Liantinis married Nikolitsa Georgopoulou, Professor of Philosophy at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Athens. Her daughter, Diotima Liantini, is also a professor of art history and museum didactics in the University of Athens. Prof. Liantinis is unknowingly disappeared from the common Athenian house on 1 June 1998. Investigations by the police revealed that Liantinis was driving a taxi in the mountains near Sparta. His disappearance had indicated in written documents, in a farewell letter to his daughter Liantinis. - In July 2005, found a body in a cave at 2000 m altitude on the mountain Taygetus under mysterious circumstances, which raises many questions, as his body has been recognized by the police. The mystery of his disappearance but remains unexplained.
