The radar system Dimona is a system for monitoring the airspace in the Negev desert, near the town of Dimona. The system is designed to warn Israel against missile attacks from Iran. It consists of two 400 -meter towers, whose construction was begun in late 2008 and early 2009, should be completed. The towers will become the tallest structures in Israel.
