Dinah Manoff

Dinah Beth Manoff ( born January 25, 1958 in New York ) is an American actress.

Life

Dinah Manoff was born as the daughter of screenwriter Arnold Manoff and actress and director Lee Grant in New York City. Manoff received her degree at the California School of the Arts. It was then at the Actors Studio in New York City trained.

Since 1997 she has been married to Arthur Morell and has with him three sons. Their first child was born in 1997 born in 2002 and her twins were born.

Career

At the age of 18 years, Dinah Manoff was for the first time under the direction of her mother in the film The Stronger front of the camera.

Their most famous role is that of the Pink Lady Marty Marashino in the musical film version of Grease.

After the success of the cult musical Dinah Manoff was to be seen in the following years in many guest roles in television programs. Also on stage showed the actress her talent, she has worked with for example the piece Table Settings for the second time with her colleague Stockard Channing together. The two met again in the film Staying Together, directed by Lee Grant each other. For her performance in the Broadway play I Ought To Be In Pictures by Neil Simon Manoff in 1980 won a Tony Award. In the subsequent film version of the play Manoff was also seen. From 1989 to 1993 she played Carol Weston in the series Golden Girls as well as in the two offshoots Harry's nest and Hi sister.

There were other guest appearances on television, including in the " John Larroquette Show" and Cybill. From 2002, she appeared in six episodes of the series State of Grace, and in 2008 she can be seen again on the big screen. In addition to William H. Macy plays a supporting role in the film Bart Got a Room.
