Dino Attanasio
Edoardo Attanasio aka Dino Attanasio ( born May 8, 1925 in Milan ) is an Italian comic book artist.
Career
As a young man Attanasio emigrated to Belgium and joined the staff of the magazine Tintin. For this magazine, he created the series in particular spaghetti ( Text: René Goscinny ) and Modeste et Pompon ( German: Mausi and Paul ). The latter series, he took over from André Franquin. From the mid- 1960s he also worked for Corriere dei Piccoli, the Italian magazine, for which he designed the series Ambrogio et Gino, Il colonnello Squilla e Pepè and Gianni Flash. For the Dutch magazines Pep and Eppo he drew from 1969 the humorous detective series Johnny Goodbye ( lyrics: Martin Lodewijk, Yves Duval and others). His later work includes the creation of a comic version of Giovanni Boccaccio's Decameron.
In Germany he is known primarily through the ranks Spaghetti, The Macaronis, Mausi and Paul and Johnny Goodbye. In addition, a story by Ambrogio et Gino appeared on German under the title Anatol & Son.
