Dintikon

Dintikon (Swiss German: tɪntɪikχə ) is a municipality in the district of Lenzburg in the canton of Aargau. It lies on the western edge of the lower Bünztal valley, three miles southeast of the district municipal seat.

Geography

The old village center is located on the eastern slopes of the Riet Berg. At this chain of hills which forms the natural border to Lake Valley, include the Herrliberg (506 m above sea level. M. ) in the northwest, the Hochrüti ( 562 m above sea level. M. ) and Hochwacht ( 667 m above sea level. M. ) in the west and the Gross Moos ( 664 m above sea level. M. ) in the south. North of the village center of the district is Langelen with new housing developments and industrial area. Dintikon forms the southern end of a four- kilometer municipal band, which extends across the entire plane of the Bünztal valley until after Dottikon and Hägglingen.

The area of the municipality is 373 hectares, of which 157 hectares are forested and built over 70 hectares. The highest point is located on 667 meters on the Hochwacht, the deepest at 420 meters on the northern boundary of the municipality.

Neighboring municipalities are Hendschiken in the north, Villmergen in the east, Seengen in the south, the west and Egliswil BANGALORE in the northwest.

History

During Roman times, here was a farm building used for metalworking. The first mention of Tintinchova place in the year 893 in a toboggan interest of the woman Minster in Zurich. The place name comes from Old High Tintinghofun, which means " in the courts of the clan of Tinto ". In the Middle Ages, the village was in the territory of the Counts of Lenzburg, from 1173 in that the counts of Kyburg. After these had died out, the Habsburgs, the new rulers were in 1264. The lower courts changed hands several times: first, the lords of Hallwyl, then the Barons of Fridingen and finally the Lords of ball moss.

1415 conquered the Swiss Aargau; Dintikon now belonged to the subject territory of Berne, the so-called Bernese Aargau. After Bern had in 1450 acquired the lower courts, the village was a part of the judicial district Othmarsingen in the Official Lenzburg. 1528 resulted in the Bernese the Reformation. In the Villmerger wars (1656 and 1712), the village was devastated by passing troops, the Langelenfeld southeast of the village was the site of the Second Battle of Villmergen. On December 31, 2013 2125 people lived in Dintikon, the proportion of foreigners was 23.3 %. At the 2000 census, 48.2 % were reformed. 37.1 % Roman Catholic, and 2.4 % Muslim; 0.4 % belonged to other faiths. 93.0 % identified German as their main language, 2.8 % speak Italian, 0.9% Albanian, Serbo-Croatian 0.8 %.

Politics and Law

The Assembly of the voters, the municipal assembly, shall exercise the legislative power. Executive authority is the five-member council. Traffic

Dintikon is conveniently located. Between the district and the train Langelen the important Main road 25 ( Lenzburg - train ). The Lenzburg connecting the A1 motorway is six kilometers away. Interestingly, the station Dottikon - Dintikon is located on the SBB railway line Aarau- Arth -Goldau in neither of the two eponymous towns, but in the municipality of Villmergen. The municipality has a kindergarten and a primary school. The junior high school and the secondary school can be visited in Villmergen, the district school in Dottikon. The nearest district school (high school ) is located in Wohlen Aargau.
