Diocese of Stockholm (Church of Sweden)

The Diocese of Stockholm ( Stockholms Swedish pin ) is one of the thirteen dioceses within the Church of Sweden. The today 's most populous diocese in Sweden was founded on 11 March 1942 and consists of 68 parishes ( församlingar ), which in turn are grouped into 13 church districts.

Geographically, the Diocese is slightly smaller than the Stockholm County. Bishop's seat is Sweden's capital Stockholm with the Storkyrka as bishop church. From 1998 to November 2009 was Caroline Krook bishop of the diocese. Successor since November 8, 2009 Eva Brunne.
