Diophantine approximation

The mathematical discipline of Diophantine approximation, named after Diophantus of Alexandria, deals with the approximation of real numbers by rational numbers. Known sets in the theory of diophantine approximation are the Dirichlet approximation theorem and the theorem of Thue -Siegel -Roth.
