Dioxathion is a chemical compound from the group of Thiophosphoric. It is used as an insecticide and acaricide.
Production and representation
Dioxathion can by chlorination of 1,4-dioxane followed by reaction with O, O- diethyl dithiophosphate are obtained.
Admission
Dioxathion was admitted from 1971 to 1983 in the Federal Republic of Germany.
The use of the active Dioxathion in plant protection products is not permitted in the European Union. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, no plant protection products containing this active ingredient are allowed.
