DÄ«pankara Buddha

Dipamkara ( Sat, pi Dipamkara; zh Randeng FO然 灯 佛, Randeng gǔfó然 灯 古佛bo:. .. མི་སློབ་ mi slob, Mongolian: Chula Choqiaqchi ) was according to the Buddhist tradition, a Buddha, such as the Buddha Kashyapa and Kanakamuni, has acted before the appearance of the fourth Buddha of this aeon, Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha as premature. Representation

Individual representations of Dipamkara are scarce. He almost always is at the center of triplets, accompanied by two bodhisattvas: Manjushri and Vajrapani in Java between and in Sri Lanka between Avalokiteshvara and Vajrapani. In the countries of the Himalayan region (especially Tibet, Nepal ), he is often shown in the company of Buddha Shakyamuni and the future Buddha Maitreya.

Bodhisattva Vows of Buddha Shakyamuni
