Benzhydrol and diphenylmethanol ( C6H5) 2CHOH is a secondary alcohol. It is used in the pharmaceutical industry.

Representation

The easiest way benzhydrol is to show by means of the Grignard reaction of phenylmagnesium bromide and benzaldehyde.
