Dirac Prize
The Dirac Medal ( Dirac Prize ) is awarded in honor of Paul Dirac by the International Centre for Theoretical Physics ( ICTP ) to scientists who have made remarkable contributions to physics.
An international committee consisting of various scientists selects the winners from a list of nominated candidates. The deadline for nominations is always on April 15 of each year. To Dirac's birthday, 8 August, the medal is then awarded with a prize of $ 5,000.
The Dirac Medal is not awarded to Nobel Laureate, winner of the Fields Medal and the Wolf Prize.
There is also a Dirac Medal (IOP ) of the UK Institute of Physics and the Dirac Medal ( UNSW ) University of New South Wales ( Dirac Lecture ).
