Directoire style

The Directoire (French, German " Board ") is a classicism attributable Style, whose heyday in the reign of the Directory in France ( 1795-1799 ) falls. This places it between the early classical Louis XVI and the Napoleonic Empire.

Protagonists of the Directoire style were the architects Charles Percier (1764-1838) and Pierre -François- Léonard Fontaine (1762-1853), who later became leaders of the Empire style.
