DirectX Video Acceleration

DirectX Video Acceleration ( DXVA ) is an API developed by Microsoft for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360, with which it is possible to accelerate the video decoding via hardware by, among other things, access to the graphics card or the GPU is enabled. The DXVA version 1.0 was introduced with Windows 2000 and is available for Windows 98 and later platforms available, the version DXVA 2.0 was introduced with Microsoft Windows Vista and integrated into the Media Foundation.
