Dirk Heidemann

Dirk Heidemann ( born April 18, 1961 in Berlin ) is a German former ballroom dancer, fashion model, author, dance sport coach and choreographer.

Life

Heidemann was several youth champion and German vice-champion of the A- class Latin. At age 17, he moved to the pros and reached the final of the 1993 Freestyle World Championships in Latin American dancing.

He is the coach of several world champion pairs, led as head coach of the German Dance Sport Federation, among others, Christopher and Blanca Ribas Turon gravel to the World Cup.

Between 2006 and 2011 he was in his role as choreographer in several talent shows ( You Can Dance at Sat.1, Germany sucht den Superstar at RTL, The wedding ship in the ARD) and even on television. He is also the author of several articles on dance competitions and Professor of Dance Sport at the University of Physical Education of Zheng Zhou, China.

On April 18, 2011 Dirk Heidemann received the coach Badge of Honour of the German Dance Sport Federation.

The World DanceSport Federation ( WDSF ) commissioned Dirk Heidemann in March 2013, the choreography of a flash mob for the World Dance Sport Games 2013 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan to create. Dirk Heidemann chose the song Stamp Your Feet the then recently deceased singer Donna Summer. In April 2013, a video in Sant Cugat, Spain was shot. Dirk Heidemann is there to see themselves as dancers. The flash mob was presented at the opening event with great success. At the final event around 6,500 athletes Stamp Your Feet danced in front of live TV cameras. Stamp your Feet is now considered one of the largest flash mobs in the world.

He lives in Berlin.
