Dirk Heyne ( born October 10, 1957 in Magdeburg ) is a former German football goalkeeper and current football coach.

Player career

Heyne began his football career in 1967 in the children's team of 1 FC Magdeburg, where he remained as a goalkeeper faithfully until 1991. By winning the championship in 1972 for the FCM student, he won his first title. His first game for the league team of the FCM, he played on Matchday 1 of the season 1977/78 on August 13, 1977 in the encounter FCM - 1 FC Union Berlin (1:2). He stood in this season in all 26 league games in goal point and was thus immediately become a regular player. Heyne was then for 14 years the undisputed number one in the gate of the first FCM.

His constant good performances in the FCM were also rewarded with the appointment in the GDR national team. On February 11, 1979, he was there for his first senior international match, when he was in Iraq meeting - was East Germany (2-1) off the bench in the 77th minute for the injured Bodo Rudwaleit. Then he had to wait long for his next assignment in the national team, because at first he could not pass Rudwaleit and René Müller. It was not until August 23, 1989 ( DDR - Bulgaria 1:1) until April 11, 1990 ( DDR - Egypt 2:0 ), he was a regular goalkeeper in the A- selection and so came to a total of nine A- internationals. Previously, he had already contested 14 junior internationals.

After the first FC Magdeburg in 1991, had failed to qualify for the national leagues, Heyne left after 323 league games, 51 national and 34 European Cup finals and the three-time winning the GDR football Cup FCM. With the start of football season 1991/92 to Heyne joined the Bundesliga team Borussia Mönchengladbach. After playing there for a year in the reserves, he played from 1992 to 1994 a total of 24 games in the Bundesliga. In summer 1994, Heyne ended his career as a competitive athlete.

Trainer career

Until 2001 he worked inter alia as a goalkeeper coach for Borussia Mönchengladbach in various functions and then returned to Magdeburg. From 2003, he coached the first men's team of the 1st FC Magdeburg. His greatest successes with the FCM were the Regional Uprising in 2006, and the third place in the 2006/2007 season in which the club missed the walkover in the second Bundesliga in the last second. On December 9, 2007 Dirk Heyne was dismissed due to the athletic unsatisfactory first round in the 2007/2008 Regional - season by the Bureau. From the 2008/2009 season took over as coach of the Heyne FC Sachsen Leipzig in the Regionalliga Nord. Shortly before the new bankruptcy of the club was Heyne, released after a series of defeats at FC Sachsen Leipzig.
