Dirk Wippermann

Dirk Wippermann ( born January 27, 1946 in Othfresen ) is a former German discus thrower, who was fourth at the 1971 European Championships in Helsinki.

Wippermann began his career at ATV in 1877 Dusseldorf, 1970 to 1974, he took up for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, before he started two years for the SG Osterfeld Oberhausen, after which he returned to Dusseldorf. After the victory at the German Youth Championships in 1964, he finished in 1965 at the German Championships in fourth place, the following year he was fifth. In 1967 he finished with 56.90 m in second place behind Hein - Direck New. In September 1967, he threw 61.64 meters with his first German record.
