Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Occupation

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (English for " Krumme things turned dirt cheap ") is the second international and third Australian studio album by the Australian hard rock band AC / DC, released in September 1976 in Australia and in December 1976 in Europe. The album is included in "AC / DC remasters ", the new edition of the album from Epic, in which all AC / DC albums have been digitally remastered.

Background

The original Australian version of the album on Albert Productions is markedly different from the European version. The album has a different cover and includes some other pieces and a different track order. On the international edition pieces RIP were ( Rock in Peace ) and jailbreak replaced by the pieces Rocker and Love at First Feel. In this case, the piece Love at First Feel was never released on an AC / DC album in Australia ( later, however, as a single ). Although the international version was released by Atlantic Records in Europe, the album did not appear in the U.S. for years. It was only after the success of Highway to Hell in 1979 began, both the international and the Australian version of the album in the U.S. to import. Due to the high demand finally authorized Atlantic publication in the United States.

Two pieces on the international album were edited against the Australian original. On the play Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap the title of the song is repeated four times in the chorus, on the edited version only twice. Is not No Fun was shortened from 7:29 to 6:57 minutes. On one of Atco Records remastered CD of 1994, the pieces were, however, published in the original length, which appeared in 2003 on CD Edition Epic Records re-used the edited versions. The album combines with Is not No Fun ( Waiting Round to Be a Millionaire ) the longest and with the Big Balls - according Get It Hot from the album Highway to Hell - shortest song of a studio album by the group on an album.

In the sessions to Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap was another piece of Angus and Malcolm Young's older brother, Alex Young, was added. The song " I'm a Rebel " was not published until today. The German metal band Accept coverte this song in 1980 on their second album, which was titled I'm a Rebel. As a songwriter, a certain George Alexander was given, and it is a pseudonym of Alex Young (brother of Angus and Malcolm Young).

The album's title comes from the comic series Beany and Cecil, where the villain, Dishonest John, a business card with the imprint: Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. Holidays, Sundays and Special Council owns.
