Dirty Projectors
The Dirty Projectors are an American rock band from New York to the singer-songwriter Dave Longstreth.
Biography
Longstreth began in the early 2000s to take their own songs. In 2002 his first album under his own name, after which he published with Adam Forkner first time under the name Dirty Projectors The Glad Fact Album. In the following years he brought in quick succession more albums in collaboration with other musicians, out of which then formed the band. The breakthrough came in 2009 with the album Bitte Orca, which brought it into the Top 100 of the U.S. album charts.
With the next album Swing Lo Magellan, which appeared in 2012, they were able to build on the success internationally. Singer Amber Coffman appeared in 2012 with the song Get Free by Major Lazer, which was also used for a commercial of Vodafone.
