Discus is a worm genus of the family of limpets ( Patulidae ) that is made to the order of snails ( Pulmonata ).

Features

With a case width of up to 7 mm, the genus contains the largest native species of this family. The bowl screw having a flat, disc-shaped casing, with a more or less pronounced keel on the outside.

Occurrence and life

The Discus species live among fallen leaves, wood and stone. The genus occurs Holarctic. The focus of dissemination is the most species in North America.
