Disiloxane can be obtained by reaction of Monobromsilan, monochlorosilane or Monoiodsilan with air-free ice cream.
Properties
Disiloxane is a colorless, odorless, flammable gas in air, not even that decomposes very slowly with water. At room temperature, it is durable and quickly decomposes only above 400 ° C. Sodium hydroxide solution develops immediately hydrogen. In the solid state, it has an orthorhombic crystal structure with space group P212121.
