In 2000, the Federal Office for Security in Information Technology (BSI ) to examine whether Diskeeper could be used for data espionage because the Diskeeper Corporation has close contacts with the Scientology sect. After Microsoft had published a guide to allow the use of Windows 2000 without Diskeeper, the review of the source code from the Federal Ministry of the Interior was deemed no longer necessary.
