Disney's Blizzard Beach

Blizzard Beach is a water park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The park opened on April 1, 1995 and was the third water park at Walt Disney World by River Country (now closed) and Typhoon Lagoon. The theme of the park is based on a Disney Legend. After a heavy snow storm in the area a business man wanted to open Florida's first ski resort. However, the snow did not lie long. They left behind a mountain with water-filled ski jumps and a chairlift. The system should be already closed, as it has been observed as an alligator sliding down a hill and landed in a pool of water. After that, the ski resort was reopened as a water park. As a mascot is an alligator named Ice Gator.
