Disney XD

Disney XD is an American television station of the Walt Disney Company, the Disney station has replaced Toon Disney in the United States. The target group of the transmitter are children of 6-14 years. Sister channels are Disney Channel, ABC and ABC Family. He went the first time on February 13, 2009 broadcast.

October 9, 2009 Disney XD launched in Germany on Sky in Sky World package and Tele Club, replacing the Disney channel Jetix. However, in contrast to Jetix sent for 24 hours. In Switzerland, Disney XD is also available on Cablecom next Tele Club.

On 15 April 2010 Disney starts the channel " Disney XD 1" with cable Germany, which shows a time delay the program from Disney XD about an hour. It replaces there the channel " Toon Disney 1".

On 2 August 2010 was changed to " Disney XD 1" a billboard that this station is no longer part of the home package. Disney XD sends until further notice at Kabel Digital Home.

The suffix " XD " is an emoticon: To rotated 90 degrees clockwise, it symbolizes a smiling face.

Initially it was planned to create not only the broadcast on Sky also offers an online streaming offering. The plan was to provide all series on the Internet.
