Distributed Universal Number Discovery

DUNDi stands for " Distributed Universal Number Discovery " and is a peer-to -peer based system for converting phone numbers into Internet addresses, which was developed by Digium. The also developed by Digium open source PBX Asterisk ™ supports DUNDi protocol.

In contrast to the ENUM DUNDi has no hierarchical structure with official registries on, but each participant agrees to a policy and contributes itself the responsibility for its entries.
