Ditone

The Ditonus (or Ditonos ) referred to in music, an interval of two major whole tones ( 8:9 ).

In Pythagorean tuning of the Ditonus corresponds to the frequency ratio 64:81 and is known as the Pythagorean major third. This is a syntonic comma higher than the pure major third ( 4:5 ).
