Diving at the 1906 Intercalated Games

At the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens, a competition was held in the water jump. The competition took place at Phalerum in the open water of the bay of Kea. The diving boards were mounted on a ship of the Greek Navy on a banded floors wooden scaffolding.

Diving

There were three jumps to graduate from 4m, 8m and 12m board, as rated by judges with a maximum of 20 points. The total score resulted from the average of all jumps. Olympic champion Gottlob rolling trust only yourself and no one else. So he took his own, six meters long springboard for the journey by train to jump on this in Athens.
