Division 1 (Swedish ice hockey)
The Division 1 has the 1999/2000 season, the third-highest ice hockey league in Sweden. Previously, she was from 1944 to 1975, first the top flight, before it was replaced by the Elitserien from 1975 to 1999, the second- highest division, which is now the HockeyAllsvenskan.
The league is divided into six regional groups. Following the Main Round Playoffs are performed, their four best-placed teams qualify for the Kvalserien for promotion to the HockeyAllsvenskan. Any relegated from Division 1 will be relegated to Division 2.
