Cunningham is one of 150 constituencies, which are used to select the Australian House of Representatives. It lies between the cities of Sydney and Wollongong in New South Wales. The constituency includes both areas of Sydney ( Heathcote, Bundeena ) as well as parts of the city of Wollongong ( Corrimal, Figtree and Unanderra ).

He was named after the Australian botanist and explorer Allan Cunningham and created in 1949. Since 2004, Sharon Bird of the Australian Labor Party, the incumbent Member of Parliament for the constituency.
