Diwana (Hindi: दिवाना, translated: the Mad ) is a Bollywood movie of the 60s. The main roles are played by Raj Kapoor, Saira Banu and Kamal Kapoor.

Action

The well-bred simpleton Pyare always follows the voice of his heart. As a small infant his father Ramdas has left his family out of greed. Shortly thereafter, his mother also died. He grew up with Fatima Begum, who always treated him as her own son.

One day the pretty Kamini Gupta enters his life. She ran away from home because her "uncle" Maryadas want it zwangsverheiraten with his adopted son Indians, only to get to their heritage.

Pyare wants to help the pretty girl, but he gets in only even greater difficulties. To him, the murder of Indians is even attached.

When Pyare learns that Maryadas is his father Ramdas and at the same time also the murderer of Indians, he admits out of respect for the fact that he did not commit. This aroused pity in Ramdas. He can blame not leave on his own son and confesses to the murder.

Father and son say goodbye to each other and Kamini is Pyares (whom she affectionately Diwana ( Crazy ) calls ) bride.
