Dixville Notch is a village in the U.S. state of New Hampshire with 12 inhabitants. It is known primarily for his early announcement of the local results of the U.S. presidential election just after midnight.

The village is located about 30 miles from the Canadian border and lives mainly from tourism.

The few inhabitants choose traditionally at midnight, so that closed the election shortly after midnight and can be counted and the results published. The polling station is located in the Balsam Grand Resort Hotel. At the 2012 election but this was restored, so that had to be dodged on around two kilometers away ski lodge. The hotel closure associated with the renovation also explains the small number of voters, as many sought elsewhere and moved away work. For the first time it came to an equal share of the vote of the favorites.
