Diyan Petkov

Dijan Petkov Dimov ( Bulgarian Диян Петков Димов, also Diyan Petkov Dimov; * August 4, 1967 in Burgas, Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian football coach and former football player. Currently (2012 ) he worked as a football scout for FC Chernomorets Burgas.

Dijan Petkov started his career in the youth team of Neftochimik Burgas. Even at 16 he played his first game for the first team of his home club. In 1988 he moved to the second Burgasser traditional club, FC Chernomorets Burgas. In 1993 he played for the Plowdiwer and from 1994 for the Sofia railway club. Dijan Petkov has a total of 268 games and 64 goals in the top Bulgarian league, the A Grupa.

He was with locomotive Plovdiv Bulgarian Vice champion and cup winner. In 2009, he was coach of the first division club OFK Sliven 2000. Previously, he was already makes as coach of FK Pomorie, FC Chernomorets Burgas and Burgas Naftex. Between late 2010 and October 2011 Petkov was coach of the Sofia club Lokomotiv Sofia when, after a series of defeats his contract was terminated. During this time he led the club in the Europa League.
