DJ Tomekk

DJ Tomekk ( born October 11, 1975 in Krakow, civil Tomasz Kuklicz ) is a Polish hip-hop DJ and music producer.

Biography

At the age of ten years Kuklicz met for the first time a DJ and let yourself be inspired by the " deejaying ". In the same year, his father emigrated to Germany and he followed him to Berlin, where he lived in the Wedding and the Diesterweg attended high school. When his father died five years later, the then 15 - year-old was on his own. Intensive he practiced the DJ craft and was still a teenager own radio show on Kiss FM ( it was called " Boogie Down Berlin ").

1993 met DJ Tomekk on the hip-hop legend Kurtis Blow. DJ Tomekk conducted an interview, but was planning to convince the star at the same time of his DJ skills. Coincidentally needed Kurtis Blow short term replacement for his eclectic DJ and asked for DJ Tomekk on. After the show wanted to blow that he accompanied him on his U.S. tour. 1994 DJ Tomekk was nominated as the first non-American for the " 1st Annual Rap Music Award ". While he was hardly known in Germany, he joined the U.S. already, together with Run DMC, Wu- Tang Clan, LL Cool J and KRS One.

Put back in Germany DJ Tomekk in several nightclubs on and published in 1998 his first production - a remix for a group called Foesum from Los Angeles. Below was founded in 1999 under the record label "F- Records " production 1, 2, 3 Rhymes Galore - an international cooperation, which was attended by artists such as Grandmaster Flash, Flavor Flav ( Public Enemy ), Afrob, Jazzy Jeff & MC Rene. This song was in the German Top 10 charts for several weeks ( Highest placement: 6) hold. The second single I live for Hip Hop in collaboration with GZA, Prodigal Sunn, Curse and Stieber Twins reached in the Media Control Charts ranked 11th in 2000 got DJ Tomekk the Comet as the best national newcomer.

Soon followed by another successful production, Return of Hip- Hop, participated in the KRS -One, Torch and MC Rene. A short time later DJ Tomekk released his first album, which also bore the name Return of Hip- Hop.

The end of 2002 it another top 10 hit was achieved in Germany with the song Kimnotyze. 2003 DJ Tomekk went with his Boogie Down Berlin Crew ( DJ Shag Said, Saeed, Trooper Da Don ) on tour, where he graduated about 150 performances.

In the following years, DJ Tomekk collaborated with artists such as MC Lyte, Xzibit, Sido, Fler, Noreaga, B -Tight, Montell Jordan, Truth Hurts, Horace Brown, Black Ivory and Harry on his new album Numma Eyns, which he eventually in 2005 published. The Single Jump Jump (feat. Fler ) placed to number 3 on the German charts.

End of 2006, DJ Tomekk released the mixtape The Next Generation. He produced this mixtape together with Bushido and numerous newcomers to support this.

In January 2008, he participated as a contestant on the third season of the RTL show I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! part, which he, however, had to leave early because he was seen in a private video with Hitler salute that only a " stupid joke " was from his point of view. Since he is not a German citizen and the act took place abroad, there has been no criminal consequences.
