Djezzy GSM

Djezzy (Arabic جازي Dschāzī ) is an Algerian mobile phone company. The company was founded in 2002 and belongs to the group Orascom Telecom.

History

In July 2001, Djezzy auctioned the second tender for Algeria GSM license for 737 million U.S. dollars. On 15 February 2002, the company officially took on their work. In September 2007, Djezzy had about 12 million subscribers and 3,000 employees. The company has two main competitors in Algeria: The State Algeria Mobile Network and the private company Wataniya Telecom.
