Dlhá

Dlhá ( until 1927 slovak also " Dluhá "; German Langendorf, Hungarian Felsőhosszúfalu - to 1907 Hosszúfalu; Latin Longa Villa ) is a municipality in western Slovakia with 441 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2011). It belongs to Okres Trnava Region a part of the Trnavský.

Geography

The municipality is located in the hill country Trnavská pahorkatina in a shallow bowl in which is formed by the confluence of several streams of the Little Carpathians Bach Podhajský creek. The municipal area is hilly, largely deforested with loess. The center is located at an altitude of 185 m nm and is 15 kilometers from Trnava.

Neighboring municipalities are Dolné Orešany in the north, Košolná in the northeast, Sucha nad Parnou in the east, Ružindol the southwest, Borová in the south and Doľany in the West.

History

Dlhá was first mentioned in 1296 as Hwzywfolw writing and belonged to the manor of Beaver Lodge (now Cerveny Kamen ). In the first half of the 16th century, the castle was built ponds, at the same time, settled 14 Croatian families. 1543 there were 29 subjects families in 1583 already 88 subjects families, plus there were several vineyards. 1828 were counted 79 houses and 567 inhabitants, who were employed in agriculture and viticulture.

Until 1918, belonged to the county located in the Bratislava city of the Kingdom of Hungary and was then Czechoslovakia or Slovakia today.

Population

According to the 2011 census lived in Dlhá 382 inhabitants, of whom 372 Slovaks and Magyars. Nine residents did not know. 346 residents pleaded with the Roman Catholic Church, two residents of the Greek Catholic Church, a resident of the Evangelical Church AB, twelve residents were non-denominational and 21 inhabitants, the denomination is not determined.
