Dmitri Kuznetsov (footballer born 1965)

Dmitri Viktorovich Kuznetsov (Russian: Дмитрий Викторович Кузнецов; born August 28, 1965 in Moscow ) is a former Soviet and Russian football player and current football coach.

Kuznetsov began his career in the youth team of Torpedo Moscow. In 1984 he moved to CSKA Moscow. The midfielder won with CSKA in 1991, the Soviet league and cup competition. After 254 games and 43 goals for CSKA in 1991 he went to Spain to Espanyol. In 1995 he moved after a short stint with the club UE Lleida to Deportivo Alavés, and as of 1997 stood at CA Osasuna under contract. During the 1998 season he again played in Russia for CSKA Moscow and has been with this team of Russian runners-up. In the following years Kuznetsov played for unterklassige Russian clubs, among other things, for locomotive and the Nizhny Novgorod Sokol Saratov PFK.
