Dmitry Andreikin

Dmitri Vladimirovich Andreikin (Russian: Дмитрий Владимирович Андрейкин; born 5 February 1990 in Ryazan ) is a Russian chess player who carries the title of Grand Master since 2007.

Andreikin conquered or occupied top positions in several tournaments: 1st place in the U14 Junior Championship of Russia in Smolensk (2001), 2nd - 3rd Place at the White Nights Open in Saint Petersburg ( 2003), 2nd place in the autumn tournament in Alushta (2004 ), 1st place in the U20 Junior Championship of Russia dagomys / Sochi (2009) and again 1st place in the U20 Junior Championship of Russia in dagomys / Sochi (2010). Andreikin won the U10 World Youth Championship in Oropesa del Mar ( 1999) and the U20 World Youth Championship in August 2010 in the Polish city Chotowa. In 2012 he won the Russian national championship in Moscow. He came along with five other players on 5 points from 9 games and won the tie-break rapid chess with four points from five games.

2013 was Andreikin finalists at the World Cup in Tromso and thus qualified for the Candidates Tournament of 2014.
