Dmitry Lapikov

Dmitri Valentinovich Lapikow (Russian: Дмитрий Валентинович Лапиков, scientific transliteration Dmitri Valentinovich Lapikow; born June 4, 1982 in Kaliningrad, Russia ) is a Russian weightlifter.

Career

Lapikows first Senior World Championships in 2005 in Doha, where he ( 185.0 / 223.0 kg ) finished with 408.0 kg in the heavyweight division to 105 kg to the fourth place. A year later he won in Santo Domingo with 414.0 kg ( 194.0 / 220.0 kg ) of silver behind Marcin Dołęga, who scored 415.0 kg. In 2007 he won with 402.0 kg ( 185.0 / 217.0 kg ) bronze at the European Championships in Strasbourg.

His biggest success came Dmitri Lapikow at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he was able to achieve 420 kg ( 190.0 / 230.0 kg ) bronze.

The following year was Lapikow second in the world championship in the class up to 105 kg. In Goyang he mastered 416.0 kg ( 194.0 / 222.0 kg ) in single combat.
